The 3rd day in August of 2019 | Union Hall | Newburgh, IN

When meeting with Jennie and Daniel for the first time at a Starbucks’ date, we knew this wedding was going to be all sorts of GORGEOUS. Jennie’s vision was incredibly detail-oriented, and her and Daniel’s excitement for their wedding day was delightful. We loved having the opportunity to work with this wonderful couple...and their pooches! ;)
Typically, our first goal of the wedding day is to find the best locations for the bridal gown shots. As Bryson and I scoped through the darling home of Jennie’s grandmother, we found the sweetest spots. Next step (which is one of my favorite moments of the day)...getting the dress out of the bag to capture its beauty! HOLY. COW. Y’ALL. This ivory moscato ball-gown designed by Essense of Australia was entirely radiant with its sweetheart neckline, silver beaded boddess, organza skirt, and modern day princess fashion. After we picked our jaws up off the floor, we moved on to capturing a few indoor and outdoor shots of the dress and all of Jennie + Daniel’s glitz and glam accent pieces.
With the last few strokes of the makeup brush and the hair pins snugly placed, Jennie was ready to step into the gown of a lifetime. The glow on our brides’ faces when they see themselves for the first time with their hair and makeup done, shoes fastened, and button dressed is priceless. And Jennie’s glow was second to none. It was now time for the first looks with her mom and dad!
The lighting was perfect, and the nostalgia was setting in as we photographed the first looks with Jennie’s parents. With a few hugs and kisses on the cheeks, they were ready to see their little girl walk down the aisle. Sidenote...Jennie’s mother was also her maid of honor...how sweet is that?! We ventured onto Scales Lake Park to capture a few family and bridal party portraits and Jennie twirling and fluffling that gorgeous dress. We adore the sweet moments we have with our brides and treating them like a princess in front of our cameras!
A gorgeous day calls for an outdoor ceremony! Jennie and Daniel’s choice of an elegant, wooden arbor draped with sheets and hay bales for seating was so charming! As the bridal party (including their pooches, Barkley + Emma) made their way down the aisle, everyone was awaiting the moment of Jennie’s bridal beauty! Hand in hand with Daniel, they committed their lives to one another with tear-jerking letters and exchange of rings. We now pronounce to you Mr. + Mrs. Deyne! As if this union was not genuine enough, this couple wanted to commemorate their day with a touching balloon sendoff in honor of those who could not attend. What a beautiful way to signify the thoughts and memories they have for their loved ones who have passed!
Nothing beats a glowing, sunset-filled field for wedding portraits...especially when it has grazing cows to add to the scenic backdrop! As the newlyweds danced and snuggled, Bryson and I could not help but be filled with excitement for them as this was the start of their new chapter in their journey together.
