The Thirty-First Day in August of 2019 | The Rapp-Owen Granary | New Harmony, IN

Jill + Ian grabbed a hold of our hearts from the very beginning but in two slightly different ways. Jill’s love and profession with baking allured myself, and Ian’s passion for cars won Bryson over in the matter of two seconds. With that being said, our excitement for their wedding day only grew from their engagement session to August 31st!
How do we describe every moment of this couple’s wedding day? Quaint and exquisite of course! Being that the whole day was celebrated in New Harmony, we had endless locations for all the gorgeous shots! After taking a little hike around the New Harmony Inn, we nestled Jill’s dress in the midst of a dreamy, forest background. Speaking of Jill’s dress, let’s give this gorgeous gown the spotlight for a moment! Her choice of a Halo by Blush ball gown designed by Haley Paige was delightful! With its ivory lace, scalloped v-neck, low open back and strap detail bodice, and tiered tulle skirt, Jill was a gorgeous, bridal vision!
As fully expected, Jill + Ian’s accent pieces for their flat lay shots were impeccable! Jill had all of her ducks in a row for sure with her hand crafted hanger for her gown, velvet ring box, jewel studded sandals, beautifully designed stationary, and His + Her vow books. Ian’s groom highlights were perfect with his leather, detailed shoes, crimson bow tie, handkerchief, and wait for it...Prestige Worldwide socks!!! (Yes, Bryson and I are avid Step Brothers fans.) ;)
After the bride and groom were all buttoned up, it was time for their momentous first look! As stated before, there are limitless, brilliant backdrops in New Harmony, so we chose the front of the New Harmony Inn, which was such a wonderful choice! As Ian turned around, the first thing he did was smile from ear to ear at his stunning bride. They shared a hug, kiss, and a few tears, and now it was time for the almost newlyweds’ portraits! We ADORE having moments like these with our couples because their butterflies and enthusiasm are just darling!
The Rapp-Owen Granary is, hands down, one of the most spectacular ceremony locations we have ever experienced! The wooden, dream venue highlighted with stone walls and spindle back chairs was complimented perfectly with Jill’s choice of eucalyptus and candles down the aisle and a lavish floral arrangement on the wooden arbor! As the bridal party walked the aisle, there was a minor distraction before Jill made her grand entrance...triplet ring bearers! These boys were the definition of cute and had the most charming outfits and signs that read: “They didn’t trust us with the rings; Ian, here comes your bride; and I’m just here for the cake.” Golly, they were adorable! After reading aloud the beautifully written vows from the His and Her books and giving a smooch, Jill + Ian were now Mr. + Mrs. Dickens!
The rest of the evening was nothing but sweet! No really...we mean it. Jill baked the most perfect dessert bar, teeming with mini apple pies, brownies, oatmeal cream pies, s’mores bars, M & M cookies, and more! If you think that is amazing, you wouldn’t believe how beautiful the cake was! The two-tiered cake with exposed layers and delightful topper was divine! With their closest friends and family surrounding them, Jill + Ian brought in marriage with a cherry on top!
