Trent + Maddie | A Nostalgic Autumn Wedding at The Corner House B&B

Updated: Feb 16, 2021

"Falling" for you each and every day…

The Corner House Bed & Breakfast | Rockport, IN | The Third day in November of 2018

On November 3rd of 2018, Maddie + Trent heard those words that they had been waiting on for so long…"I now pronounce you as husband and wife.” Their wedding day was the perfect blend of sweet and momentous tears, warm embraces, and lots of kisses! The unforgettable sentiment of their day was second to none, and it was all because two people fell in love.  If you are like us, Indiana fall weddings bring a whole new sense of joy to your life. The brightly colored trees and mumms. The sweet smell of pumpkin spice and cinnamon. The sound of crunchy leaves and the crackling of a fire. And don’t forget the pumpkins! This couple did such a splendid job of incorporating all of these autumn charms with a color pallet of navy, burgundy, and cream into a dazzling wedding!

Let’s take a minute, and talk about the gorgeous bride, Maddie. Oh my stars, she was stunning! Her sleek, trumpet-style wedding gown detailed with an illusion back of beads and buttons could take your breath away. The brilliant details did not stop there. Her pointed, beaded, white flats and dreamy updo with loose curls completed Maddie’s bridal presence. With her cheerful and giggly bridesmaids by her side, Maddie was ready to embrace her wedding day.

This bride’s beauty was not only on the outside, but her joyful spirit added to her elegance. As she read aloud Trent’s letter to her, tears were streaming down her face. One of the most endearing quotes from the groom’s letter read, “Sitting here writing this letter makes me realize just how lucky I am to have someone like you. Just that little bit of time sitting down and putting my thoughts on paper reminds me of why I love you so much. I can’t wait to see what the future holds and watch you grow as a person, a wife, and hopefully a mother someday. You are perfect for me in every way.” How could a girl not cry while reading that?! Great job, Trent. ;) The tears continued to stream, but you knew that Maddie was only getting more and more excited to see her groom when she would walk down the aisle.

The time came for the ceremony as everyone cozied up and was seated on wooden benches that oversaw a bluff of a festival of fall colors. Just like on the Movie, 27 Dresses, Bryson and I tend to focus on the groom’s face when he first sees his bride. Trent’s smile could not have been any brighter, and his eyes glistened as he watched Maddie make her way down the aisle of friends, family, and loved ones that joined in the zeal of the moment. Vows were made, and Mr. and Mrs. Nelson blissfully receded down the aisle, soaking up every second of delight the ceremony brought.

With the sun still shining, and the cool, fall breeze, we began to capture family moments, footage of the joyous couple as husband and wife, and their pooches! This wedding day would not have been complete without Maddie + Trent’s fur babies, Bruno and Piper, making an appearance. Needless to say, there were lots of licks and hugs with this sweet, little family. The bridal party made their way down to the exquisite reception barns. Cue the good times and wedding cake!  The crisp chill in the November air did not stop anyone from having a grand time at the newlywed’s reception. After a good meal and delicious wedding cake, the dance floor was full of boogies and laughter. Maddie + Trent danced the night away with the people they cherish dearly, and nonetheless, relished in the reality of becoming husband and wife.  From Trent to Maddie: “I’m yours forever, and you are mine.”
