The Tenth Day of October, 2020 | White Chateau | Owensboro, KY
"Love isn't a state of perfect caring. It is an active noun like struggle. To love someone is to strive to accept that person exactly the way he or she is, right here and now."
-Mr. Rogers
What deep, profound meaning and life these words bring to a marriage. Love cannot merely be only an emotion; it must be a constant, pursuing action of one spouse to another, putting each others’ needs before their own and always working for the other's good.
Every love story has a starting point, one that influences and impacts a journey together for two people working to become one. As John + Grace’s starting point began in high school, their race toward oneness together was not always easy. However, the mountains and valleys of life they have faced together has only shaped and strengthened who they are as individuals and who they have become as a union.
Not only did their wedding have an absolute external beauty with its classy and romantic aesthetic, but its internal beauty was far greater, which was displayed within their vows to each other.
“I vow to be a sacrificial leader, one that sacrifices all my wants before your needs.” -John
“I’ll try to remind myself that neither one of us are perfect, but I will strive to remember all the ways we are perfect together.” -Grace
These vows were not born out of a whimsical emotion but out of hearts that were ready and passionate about marriage and pursuing life as a united front. John + Grace, your journey has only begun, and it is clearly evident that you both are driven to succeed as husband and wife! May every day be a celebration of your vow to endure life together!
