The 4th Day of July, 2020 | The Barn at Hamner Ridge | Edinburgh, IN
Pop the bubbly because this day was nothing short of absolute celebration! With a mix of patriotism and love, Aly + Travis’ wedding day was booming! While this day brings so much joy to our dear country, Aly + Travis will forever be able to rejoice this day as the date that ended with them becoming Mr. and Mrs. Feltner!
We know how the saying goes, “Something old. Something new. Something borrowed. Something blue.” Well, Aly took the “something blue” to a whole new level with her beautifully pieced together color palette! Between the bridesmaid dresses, groomsmen tuxes, and touch of dusty blue ribbon to her bridal bouquet, you better believe this wedding was a stunner! Not only was every square inch of their chosen venue drop dead gorgeous, but the ecstatic excitement from the guests and newlyweds made this day one worth dancing for!
As all of Aly + Travis’ friends and family gathered together under the scenic tree canopy nestled in the woods, it was time for these two to become one as husband and wife. A beautiful touch to the ceremony decor included decorated wood signs that read,
“Love is patient. Love is kind. Love is not envious, boastful, or proud. Love is not selfish, rude, or easily angered. Love keeps no record of wrong. Love does not delight in evil. Love rejoices with the truth. Love protects, trusts, hopes, and perseveres. Love never fails.”
{1 Corinthians 13:4-8}
Though these signs were simply elegant and a beautiful reminder as Aly + Travis walked down the wedding aisle to commemorate their marriage, they bring a deep meaning to marriage. It is through these quotes of scripture that we are able to understand that this form of love is what Christ bestows to His children and then challenges husbands and wives to display the same kind of love in their own marriages. By choosing to love each other in the way that Christ loves us, we can grow together in a humble and grace-giving Oneness. Needless to say, these wood signs were more than just decoration. They were a reminder of the covenant and challenge that Aly + Travis promised each other for a lifetime.
What’s a Fourth of July wedding without some popcorn, groovy moves, and sparklers of course?! The #FeltnerandFreedom party was a festivity to remember for always, and we could not have enjoyed this patriotic day more than by watching two people choose forever together!
