Sometimes, a worldwide pandemic throws a monkey wrench into your original wedding plans, but how do you handle it well? By just rolling with it like Shawn and Tyla did! And what do you do when it decides to rain on your wedding day? Embrace the drops, and don’t let it stop your rustic barn wedding dreams from coming true!! All in all, Shawn and Tyla’s wedding turned out to be absolutely breathtaking despite the hoops they jumped through to hear those sweet words, “I now pronounce you Mr. and Mrs. Mullis!”
Shawn + Tyla’s choice of a wedding venue was nothing short of a homey dream. With the smell of homemade muffins, the sound of trickling water from the fountain pouring into the lake, and the mix of elegant and vintage touches accenting the farmhouse suite and event barn, this husband and wife team was in photographer’s heaven! As scenic as all the backdrops were from start to finish on this beautiful day, Shawn + Tyla’s desire for marriage brought every ounce of beauty at Matilda’s to a whole new level.
After these almost newlyweds shared a touching first look together by the lake, we nestled them close for a stunning mini session! It was just darling watching these two snuggle and giggle and have a few, brief moments of togetherness before the big I Do’s. As the guests and rain poured in, it was time for Shawn + Tyla to promise their lives to each other for a lifetime.
If there were two words for us to describe Mr. and Mrs. Mullis’ reception, they would be COUNTRY RAVE! Y’all, this crowd knew how to Honkey Tonk get down to International Harvester. The celebration times were rolling, and a true essence of joy hung in the air as a difficult planning journey came to the sweetest end of Shawn and Tyla finally becoming married!
